Job summary

Wayzata Public Schools ISD 284 in North Woods is seeking a part-time Cafés Assistant at North Woods Elementary. The role supports planning, preparing, and serving meals, with a 5.75 hour/day schedule and a starting wage of $24.18 per hour. This position does not include health or dental benefits.

You will handle stock, assemble meals, operate the serving line, do cashiering as scheduled, record keeping, and comply with district policies.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience desired.
• Basic math and computational skills are required.
• Must be able to communicate directions, ideas and concepts.
• Ability to perform computer entry and use of institutional food service equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains a good working knowledge of applicable department and District policies and procedures, complying with such policies and procedures as established and communicated.
• Confers with the immediate supervisor to ensure correct understanding of work, priorities and important information to be known.
• Develops and maintains cooperative, productive workplace relationships to create a pleasant environment for all.
• Performs a variety of basic responsibilities according to established procedures and protocols.
• Performs additional duties related to the preparation, serving and cleanup of planned meals for events.
• Attends in-service or district training to stay current on field policies and procedures.
• Keeps supervisor informed of important matters to minimize downtime or safety problems.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
