Job summary

Waco ISD is seeking a Cafeteria Worker for a 4-hour shift to support the CNS department in daily meal production and service. You will follow standardized recipes, help with inventory, and ensure food safety and sanitation standards at all times.

The role requires basic education, the ability to follow instructions, and reliable teamwork in a busy school kitchen environment. Training will be provided, and this is a great entry point in school nutrition.

Qualifications

• Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Texas driver’s license or state issued ID card.
• Possess or can possess a food handler's card within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Learn operation of kitchen equipment and follow production records.
• Prepare foods from standardized recipes and assist with inventory.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards per district and health dept. guidelines.
• Assist with cash handling procedures and daily reporting as required.
• Support events and daily operations during school schedule changes.
