DOUGLAS ESD DAYS CREEK SCHOOL DISTRICT - Days Creek, Oregon is seeking a Cook’s Assistant for the 2026-27 school year. This part-time role operates 4 hours per day, four days per week (Monday–Thursday) in the Days Creek school kitchen.

The position involves helping with food preparation, serving students and staff, cleaning, and basic kitchen duties. Compensation ranges from $17.21 to $20.57 per hour, with an immediate starting date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation/cooking in accordance with program standards, which include food safety standards (i.e., food stored/prepared/cooked/held/served at proper temperatures).
• Assist in the serving of food to students and staff making sure that supplies of food and beverages are maintained, and spills cleaned up.
• Assist in cleaning up, putting food away, storing equipment, washing dishes, scrubbing pans, cleaning food serving areas, sinks, tables, etc.
• Assist with menu preparation to set standards, which include merchandising and marketing standards.
• Operate meal computer to account for daily meals/sales.
