Job summary

Graham County Schools is seeking a part-time Cafeteria Worker for Robbinsville, serving breakfast and lunch meals, setting up serving lines, and assisting with food preparation in a safe, sanitary environment.

You will follow recipes, help with cleanup, and support cafeteria staff while providing friendly service to students and staff. This position uses a substitute pay scale and offers local school district benefits as applicable.

Qualifications

• Ability to assist in preparation and serving meals.
• Attention to food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Good communication with students and staff.
• Willingness to work part-time hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks, and other meals.
• Follow established recipes, portion sizes, menus, and food safety procedures.
• Provide friendly and courteous service to students and staff.
• Set up and maintain serving lines and food preparation areas.
• Wash dishes, trays, utensils, cookware, and other kitchen equipment.
• Complete daily cleaning and sanitation of kitchen, serving, and dining areas.
• Sweep and mop floors, wipe tables and counters, empty trash, and maintain clean work areas.
• Properly store food, supplies, dishes, and equipment.
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing food and supplies.
• Follow all health, sanitation, safety, and Child Nutrition Program procedures.
• Work cooperatively with cafeteria staff and assist with other duties as assigned.
