• Read, write, and comprehend weights and measures on standardized recipes
• Ability and willingness to follow instructions, written or verbal
• Willingness to work in production kitchen
• Emotional stability and physical fitness to perform duties
• Personal appearance and dress code standards
• Interest in food preparation and service
• Courtesy and tact in dealing with people
• Interest in children and school programs
• Desire to put forth best effort in all duties
• Ability to perform physical work including lifting 50 pounds, moving heavy supplies, and standing
• Ability to learn prescribed food preparation methods
• Ability to furnish own transportation
• Health certificate may be required
• Must clear a federal fingerprint background check and child abuse registry check

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned duties efficiently, including food prep, meal service, and kitchen cleaning.
• Attend required trainings and staff meetings to stay compliant.
• Report to work promptly and maintain attendance.
• Notify manager by 6:00 a.m. if unable to report due to illness.
• Maintain a positive, respectful work environment.
• Represent the district professionally to students, families, and community.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation policies.
• Prepare, handle, and serve meals safely.
• Keep waste disposal areas clean and sanitary.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
