Job summary

Austintown Local Schools is hiring a Food Service Worker for a 3-hour shift at Austintown Intermediate School in Ohio. The role reports to the Food Service Director and Kitchen Manager and involves meal prep, order fulfillment, and daily cash handling.

The ideal candidate has prior food service experience, strong organization, computer skills, and physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds. Compliance with safety regulations and background checks is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Computer knowledge and basic academic skills.
• Prior experience as a food service employee.
• Knowledge of state and federal nutritional regulations.
• Physically capable of performing duties including standing, stooping, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains daily and monthly records, inventories, invoices, and reports deficiencies.
• Participates in meal preparation including menus, ordering, serving, and cleanup.
• Follows approved menus and standardized recipes for food preparation.
• Must be able to use a computer, including POS software, email and web browsing.
• Responsible for daily revenues including cash handling and recording monies.
• Report any problems or accidents to Kitchen Manager or Food Service Director.
• Adheres to federal, state, local food safety regulations and district policies.
• Attends meetings and trainings as directed by the Food Service Director.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Kitchen Manager and Food Service Director.
