Job summary

Acton-Boxborough Regional School District is seeking an Assistant Transportation Manager to oversee the school bus transportation program. You will supervise 41+ bus drivers and support staff, schedule routes, and respond to inquiries from parents and staff.

The role requires a valid school bus driver license with air brakes endorsement, and an associates or bachelor’s degree is preferred. Proficiency with Powerschool, Munis, and BusRight is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School graduate, Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily transportation operations and office coverage.
• Maintain Driver Training Files and records.
• Develop, update, and deliver driver training programs for candidates and licensed staff.
• Supervise licensed school bus trainers.
• Develop and present monthly safety meetings per state requirements.
