Job summary

Bradford Academy is seeking a reliable school bus driver to transport students safely to and from school sites and field trips. You will supervise loading/unloading, enforce safety rules, and coordinate with staff to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs.

The role requires 18+ years of age, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid CDL with endorsements. Prior school transportation experience is a plus, and the driver will maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all requirements established by the Department of Transportation and Michigan Department of Education.
• Valid driver's license with necessary endorsements.
• Exemplary work habits and punctuality desirable.
• Experience working with school-age children is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates a school bus on designated routes and schedules.
• Supervises loading/unloading of students and ensures safety belt usage.
• Maintains order and discipline among passengers and documents incidents.
• Performs routine vehicle checks and notifies maintenance of issues.
• Communicates with parents, supervisors, and staff regarding schedules and changes.
• Keeps accurate records of mileage, routes, and schedules.
• Represents Bradford Academy professionally at all times.
• Contributes to transportation policy development and continuous improvement.
