Job summary

The Bibb County School District is now accepting applications for a Bus Monitor. This role focuses on the care and safety of students transported to and from home and school, enabling the driver to operate the bus safely with a positive environment.

Responsibilities include supervising students, enforcing rules, assisting with evacuations, and completing required paperwork, under the Transportation Supervisor or designated staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related experience may be considered.
• Ability to work with children and manage behavior on a bus.
• Willingness to learn bus evacuation procedures and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Work with students with disciplinary issues and maintain bus order.
• Assist with safe bus evacuation and seating assignments.
• Observe behavior changes and enforce rules; complete paperwork as assigned.
• Support the bus operator with directions and trip inspections.
