Job summary

Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED, WV Bus Operator Certificate, CDL Class B with Passenger and Airbrake endorsements, and 3 years driving experience. Training and benefits are provided according to the district schedule.

Qualifications

• Holds a high school diploma or GED or TASC
• Holds a Commercial Driver's License, Class B, Passenger and Airbrake Endorsements
• Passes the required physical examination
• Has three years of experience as a licensed driver
• Passes the DMV Driving Record Check
• Passes the Drug/Alcohol Screening
• Completes 40 hours of required classroom training and 20 hours of behind the wheel training.
• Holds First Aid/CPR Certification
• Holds a West Virginia School Bus Operator's Certificate

Responsibilities

• Operate school buses and transportation vehicles as provided by the WV Board of Education
• Adhere to daily schedule including pre-trip, pull-out and post-trip routines
• Maintain safety and compliance with DMV checks and district policies
• Assist in maintaining records and reports as required by the Transportation Director
• Support coordinated transportation for students and routes as assigned
