Job summary

Qualifications

• Holds a high school diploma or GED or TASC.
• Holds a Commercial Driver’s License, Class B, Passenger and Airbrake Endorsements.
• Passes the required physical examination.
• Has three years of experience as a licensed driver.
• Passes the DMV Driving Record Check.
• Passes the Drug/Alcohol Screening.
• Completes 40 hours of classroom and 20 hours of behind the wheel training.
• Holds First Aid/CPR Certification.
• Holds a West Virginia School Bus Operator’s Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Operate school buses and transportation vehicles as provided by the West Virginia Board of Education.
• Location and length of route may vary depending on transportation needs.
• Adhere to daily pre-trip/post-trip schedules and safety procedures.
• Perform 15 minutes pre-trip, pull-out windows AM and PM, post-trip checks.
