Job summary

Brooks County ISD is seeking a school bus driver to operate buses on assigned routes, ensuring safe and orderly transportation for students and other authorized persons.

The role requires a Texas CDL with P and S endorsements, 18+ years, ability to pass DOT tests and safety training, and strong student management skills. The position involves vehicle inspections, reports, and maintaining safety equipment.

Qualifications

• Requires valid Texas CDL with P and S endorsements.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Ability to pass DOT alcohol/drug tests and annual physical.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to use maps and GPS to follow routes.

Responsibilities

• Drive bus daily on assigned route and adhere to schedules.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Report accidents, vehicle damage, and mechanical problems.
• Instruct and supervise students boarding, exiting, and crossing the street.
• Maintain safety equipment and emergency procedures.
