Job summary

Bridge City ISD Service Center is seeking a Bus Driver to operate school buses on assigned routes, ensuring safe transportation of students. Responsibilities include daily route driving, pre-post trip inspections, and reporting issues to the Transportation Department.

The role requires a Texas CDL with P and S endorsements, a clean driving record, and ability to pass USDOT drug/alcohol tests and annual physical exams.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Acceptable driving record of 8 or fewer points.
• Ability to pass USDOT alcohol and drug tests and annual physical exam.
• Ability to complete required bus driver safety training.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Drive bus daily following assigned route and schedules.
• Drive bus to/from extracurricular activities.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and notify supervisor of needed repairs.
• Instruct and supervise students on safe entry/exit and crossing streets.
• Maintain discipline and communicate with teachers/parents regarding student behavior.
• Observe traffic laws and safety regulations for school buses.
