Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years experience driving a bus or truck preferred.
• First Aid, CPR, and nonviolent crisis intervention training required within 90 days of hire.
• Commercial Driver's License and Class B license with P2S endorsement preferred.
• Criminal background check and District fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Transport passengers safely on routes in all weather conditions and perform pre-inspection.
• Educate students on bus rules and enforce district policies.
• Assist passengers entering/exiting and support disabled students.
• Inspect safety equipment and ensure compliance with DOT guidelines.
• Complete route/trip documentation and submit work requests for vehicle repairs.
• Maintain fuel and fluid levels; disinfect interior and exterior of the bus.
• Participate in training and assist in driver's training; attend in-service sessions.
• Complete annual written and driving tests for license certification.

Education
