Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Colorado CDL with S endorsement required.
• Pass the Colorado Department of Education School Bus Operator’s Test (written and skills).

Responsibilities

• Operate district transportation vehicles safely to transport students and passengers.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT and district requirements.
• Follow routes and schedules or cover routes as needed.
• Maintain flexibility to adapt to route changes and operational needs.
• Ensure student safety and manage behavior according to district expectations.
• Provide clear instructions to students for a safe environment.
• Perform emergency procedures and assist students with mobility needs as required.
• Communicate with dispatch via two-way radio and complete required logs and records.
