Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as a team member.
• Communicate in English with district staff, parents, students and the public.
• Must pass yearly CORI check and have a clean driving record; fingerprinted before hire.
• Must possess a valid Massachusetts CDL Class B with air brake, passenger, school bus endorsements and a current School Bus Operator license.

Responsibilities

• Operate a school bus or van to transport students and staff to and from schools and events.
• Transport special needs students to/from school and related locations.
• Deliver interschool mail, parcels and supplies; assist Food Service deliveries.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance; keep vehicle clean.
• Maintain licenses; subject to random alcohol and drug testing.
• Additional duties as assigned by Transportation Director, including charters or events.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
