Job summary

STA is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the facility’s day-to-day operations, including school routes, trips, charters, and driver training. You will work with the GM to ensure smooth operations and compliance with policies and regulations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in transportation operations and at least 1 year in a leadership role, with MS Office proficiency. CDL with passenger/school bus endorsement is a plus; salary ranges from $63,000 to $65,000, contingent on experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in school bus or transportation related operations.
• 1+ years’ experience in a leadership role.
• CDL license with passenger and school bus endorsement is a plus
• If not CDL licensed will need to obtain
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite
• Knowledgeable in School District contracts and Federal and State regulations
• Pass pre-employment screenings

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the facility with the GM.
• Ensure coverage of daily transit fixed routes, trips and charters.
• Develop ongoing customer relationships with Lewis County Public Transit.
• Assist with driver training and recruitment programs.
• Ensure drivers complete all required job-related training.
• Assist in payroll, accounts receivable/payable, and month-end requirements.
• Coordinate with HR on disciplinary actions of employees.
• Plan annual financial requirements for the facility.
• Uphold STA policies and State and Federal applicable regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
