Job summary

DS Bus Lines, INC. is hiring a School Bus Monitor to support Basehor schools. You will help students board and exit the bus, assist with mobility needs, and help maintain a safe, positive environment on every route.

Schedule is Monday–Friday with morning routes roughly 6:00 AM–9:00 AM and afternoon routes roughly 2:00 PM–5:00 PM. Must be available for both AM and PM shifts and committed to student safety and dependable service.

Qualifications

• Patient, compassionate, and safety-focused.
• Available for both morning and afternoon routes.
• Physically capable of assisting students as needed.

Responsibilities

• Help students safely board and exit the bus.
• Assist students with mobility needs and wheelchair accommodations.
• Secure wheelchairs and safety restraints when required.
• Maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus.
• Support the driver so they can focus on safe vehicle operation.
• Conduct child checks at the end of each route.
• Greet students and provide assistance as needed.
• Ensure students arrive safely at their destination.
