Job summary

Beacon Mobility is hiring a Part-time School Bus Monitor to help students board the bus, depart safely, and arrive at their destination, while supporting the Driver throughout the route.

The Bus Aide greets students, assists as needed, ensures all students are secured, performs end‑of‑tour checks, and maintains a safe environment on the bus. Compensation ranges from $14.75 to $16.00 per hour, and training is paid at $8.00.

Qualifications

• Ability to assist students boarding and alighting safely.
• Capable of kneeling and fastening wheelchair restraints as needed.
• Maintain safety and calm, supportive conduct on the bus.

Responsibilities

• Help the Driver focus on driving the assigned vehicle.
• Greet students in a pleasant manner.
• Help students as necessary to board and alight the bus.
• Ensure all students arrive safely at their destination.
• Perform child checks at the conclusion of every tour of duty.
• Always maintain a safe environment on the bus.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
