Job summary

Beacon Mobility seeks a qualified bus maintenance mechanic to inspect and repair a variety of motor vehicles, conduct routine maintenance, and replace parts to keep a large fleet safe and reliable.

You will communicate with operators to understand issues, prepare quotes as needed, and document all work meticulously while adhering to safety policies across our Detroit and Chicago service areas.

Qualifications

• One year of mechanic experience.
• High school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Investigate problems with various motor vehicles and perform repairs.
• Communicate with vehicle operators to discuss concerns and determine technical requirements.
• Carry out routine maintenance procedures on vehicles to promote functionality.
• Replace faulty parts and components to ensure fleet safety and reliability.
• Prepare quotes and work estimates as requested.
• Keep an accurate log of all work performed.
• Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools in safe condition.
• Adhere to company safety policies and perform other duties as assigned.
