Vance County Schools Central Office - BOE in Henderson, NC is seeking a Mechanic to diagnose and repair school buses and vehicles. The role requires experience in vehicle maintenance, NC CDL with P/S endorsements within 6 months, and a Vehicle Inspector License.

The position involves performing inspections, preventative maintenance, tire and part replacement, and inventory duties. Starting date is immediate with full-time employment.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent; two years of experience in vehicle maintenance or technical training in the automotive field.
• Valid North Carolina CDL with P, and S endorsements within 6 months.
• Valid North Carolina Vehicle Inspector License.

Mansioni

• Diagnose minor and frequently occurring mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment.
• Assist with monthly inspection of buses.
• Assist with Preventative Maintenance of buses.
• Change out bus tires, oil and filters on buses.
• Perform daily random inventory count.
• Lead annual inventory reconciliation; issue and receive parts.
• Perform general maintenance as needed.
