Job summary

Lenoir County Public Schools Transportation Department in Kinston, North Carolina seeks a Mechanic I Service Mechanic to maintain and repair school buses and vehicles. Qualifications

• Working knowledge of vehicle operation and maintenance.
• Minimum training and experience in vehicle repair preferred.
• Must have NC driver's license and be NC School Bus Inspector certified.

Responsibilities

• Fills fuel tanks on school buses and school owned vehicles.
• Lubricates moving parts of vehicle chassis.
• Checks, adds, and changes engine oil.
• Checks, adds, and replaces brake and steering fluids.
• Inspects exterior and interior of vehicles for defects.
