Monark Student Transportation Corp. is seeking a Mechanic to perform repair work and maintenance on buses. Responsibilities include routine maintenance, diagnostic tests, and ensuring proper function of all mechanical systems.
The ideal candidate possesses mechanical repair skills, a vocational/technical education, and a willingness to train for a commercial driver’s license (CDL) in-house at no extra cost. The position offers benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with paid time off.
As Mechanic you will perform repair work and maintenance for buses. You will perform routine and preventive maintenance including oil changes, and tune-ups, repairing or replacing malfunctioning parts and systems such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical parts. You will perform tests on specific parts and systems to ensure proper function and examining critical parts and systems using a standard checklist. You will be able to identify mechanical issues either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment. Test drive vehicles to confirm safe and proper operation and planning timetable to complete such repairs and maintenance.
