Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Bus Maintenance Technician to perform daily service and cleaning of school buses and district vehicles to uphold safety, cleanliness, and efficiency. Responsibilities include fueling, record-keeping, and preventive maintenance to protect students and staff.

The role requires a B-CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements, strong organizational and communication skills, and relevant experience. It is a full-time position based in the district facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent desired.
• B-CDL license with Passenger and School Bus Endorsements.
• Annual physical exam required.
• School bus driver certificate.
• 1 year as a technician or bus driver.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine daily service including checking tire air pressure, oil and fluid levels, wash and clean buses and school vehicles inside and out; fill tires and replace fluids as needed.
• Fuel buses and maintain accurate usage records.
• Maintain a preventive maintenance program to ensure student and staff safety and comfort.
• Available to drive routes, know stops, and maintain time schedules.
• Follow safety codes and standards and comply with district policies.
