Sylvania is seeking a skilled Transportation Mechanic to join our Bus Barn crew in a full-time role. You will maintain and repair a fleet of buses and transportation vehicles, ensuring safe operation and reliable performance.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, routine maintenance, and compliance inspections. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of relevant experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of vehicle maintenance experience, preferably with buses or heavy-duty vehicles.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record; willingness to drive as needed.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools to identify issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buses and transportation vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using specialized tools and equipment, and develop effective repair strategies.
