Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a school bus driver to operate two AM routes (elementary and secondary) and two PM routes. The role focuses on transporting students safely, adhering to all laws governing student transportation, and promoting a positive image within the district through interactions with students, staff, and the community.

The position reports to the Transportation Supervisor and requires up-to-date certification and a clean record to support safe district operations.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must complete Michigan School Bus Driver Education course.
• Must hold a CDL B with P and S and Air Brakes.
• Must meet MDOT physical examination requirements.
• Must pass Federal criminal background check.
• Must meet Federal DOT drug/alcohol testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Transport two AM routes (elementary and secondary) and two PM routes.
• Ensure student safety during transportation to and from school and events.
• Comply with all laws and regulations related to student transportation.
• Promote a positive district image through interactions with students, staff and the community.
