Job summary

DATTCO in Bloomfield, CT is seeking a School Bus Location Manager to lead operations at our Bloomfield location. You will direct a team to deliver safe, reliable transportation for 30 districts, oversee routing, billing, payroll, and customer relationships.

The role requires 3+ years of supervisory experience in transportation, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and proficiency with routing software and Power School.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience (transportation preferred).
• Some college coursework or relevant industry experience.
• Experience managing routes, billing, and payroll.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of a school bus location.
• Plan routes and assign routes using Traversa or routing software.
• Coordinate operations across dispatch, drivers, safety, and maintenance.
• Hire, interview, and onboard new employees.
• Review driver bids and assign routes.
• Oversee location billing and payroll.
• Respond to parent, school, and customer concerns.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
• Oversee training and workforce development.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities and disciplinary actions.
• Answer routine inquiries.
