Job summary

Hoquiam School District No. 28 seeks a reliable Bus Driver to transport students safely to school and on field trips. You will operate a school bus, maintain student supervision, and communicate effectively with families and staff while adhering to district policies and OSPI requirements.

The role requires a valid Washington CDL Class B with appropriate endorsements, a current school bus authorization, and first aid certification. Wages are competitive; diverse weather conditions are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have English-language communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.
• Demonstrated safe driving history and clean record.

Responsibilities

• Transport students safely and on time to and from school, field trips, and activities.
• Maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus and supervise students.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and daily maintenance checks.
• Follow OSPI regulations, district policies, and Washington state laws.
• Complete transportation records, reports, and route documentation accurately.
