Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess Colorado CDL - Class B with P2S endorsements (if not currently held).
• Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) Physical.
• CPR certification by Red Cross within 90 days of employment.
• Know and apply first-aid procedures when passengers need assistance.
• Commit to equity and educational excellence within the community.
• Live in Colorado while employed with us.
• Able to meet the physical demands of the position.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules during bus operations at stops and school drop-offs.
• Communicate with parents, community, and students using a customer service approach.
• Comply with traffic laws and DPS policies while operating vehicles.
• Review route book and updates prior to departures.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report malfunctions.
• Manage student behavior to ensure safety.
• Prepare and submit daily and special reports accurately.
• Conduct evacuation drills during routes and emergencies.
