Job summary

Cotulla ISD All Campuses is seeking a dedicated Bus Driver to provide safe student transportation on assigned routes in Cotulla, TX. The role requires a Texas CDL with P and S endorsements and the ability to operate school buses with vigilance.

Responsibilities include daily route driving, safety inspections, student supervision, and effective communication with staff and parents. The position emphasizes safety, adherence to schedules, and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• Clear and valid Texas CDL with P and S endorsements.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Able to pass DOT drug/alcohol tests and annual physical.
• Ability to complete required bus driver safety training.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to use maps and GPS to follow routes.
• Ability to manage student behavior.

Responsibilities

• Drive bus daily on assigned routes and schedules.
• Transport students to activities and events.
• Adjust for traffic, weather, and delays to keep students safe.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report repairs.
• Maintain bus cleanliness and fuel levels.
• Report accidents, damage, injuries, and mechanical problems.
• Supervise students entering/exiting and cross streets.
• Operate two-way radio to coordinate with transportation office.
