IDEA Public Schools is seeking a Bus Driver to transport students safely along scheduled routes and school-site transfers. You will ensure passenger safety, manage behavior, and maintain the bus in safe operating condition.

Position offers an hourly wage ($19.00–$23.75) with eligibility for a performance bonus. Benefits include paid family leave, tuition reimbursement, mental health support, and various insurance plans. Must have CDL with P/S endorsements and meet DOT requirements.

Qualificações

• Education: GED or High School Diploma.
• Experience: Operation of large passenger vehicles; or equivalent experience/training; ability to manage student behavior.
• License: Valid CDL with class P and S endorsements.
• Completed bus driver safety training course.
• Must be over 21 years old.
• Pass alcohol and drug tests.
• DOT Physical Examination.

Responsabilidades

• Safely transports students.
• Drives a school bus safely in accordance with time schedules; transports students to homes, school sites, and on field trips.
• Maintains order and proper discipline of passengers; resolves disputes; documents and reports severe disciplinary cases.
• Conducts safety and operational inspections of the assigned vehicle daily.
• Oversees loading/unloading of students and releases students to authorized individuals; ensures seat belts are fastened.
• Maintains records including mileage, routing, maintenance, and time schedules.
• Notifies appropriate individuals of delays in scheduled routes.
• Ensure credentials (CDL, Medical Card, Region One) are updated per DOT and IDEA policy.
• Able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, etc.
