Job summary

Payson Unified School District Transportation seeks a full-time Bus Driver to safely transport students on daily routes and field trips in Payson, AZ. Competitive benefits available; starting date is immediate following credentialing.

A CDL with P/S endorsements and IVP clearance are required, with a driver trainee pathway if needed. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and a clean driving record; prior school transportation experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of safe driving experience preferred.
• Clean driving record required.
• Must obtain IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card within 45 days of employment.
• Possess or obtain Class B CDL with P and S Endorsements or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Operate District bus to transport students on daily routes and field trips.
• Obey traffic laws and bus regulations; maintain student safety and discipline.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and report issues promptly.
• Communicate with Transportation staff using radio equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service to students, parents, and staff.
