Job summary

Tunica County School District Inc. is seeking a dependable Bus Driver to transport students safely to and from school and activities. You will follow district routes, adhere to state laws, and maintain vehicle discipline and cleanliness.

Responsibilities include daily pre-trip inspections, maintaining routes and schedules, releasing students only at authorized stops, completing required reports, and reporting hazards or accidents to the Transportation Director.

Qualifications

• Must hold Mississippi CDL Class A or B with P and S endorsements.
• Must have Mississippi School Bus Driver Training Card (certificate).
• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Must have a current DOT Medical Certificate where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operate the school bus safely and in compliance with state laws, SBE regulations, and local policies.
• Perform a daily pre-trip inspection of the school bus.
• Maintain routes and schedules as planned by the local board and operate on established times.
• Pick up and discharge students only at authorized stops; transport only authorized students.
• Complete reports on bus discipline, maintenance, and driving records; report hazards to appropriate officials.
