Job summary

Zūm Services, Inc. is hiring school bus drivers in Roanoke, VA to transport students safely to and from school using Zūm’s technology platform. You will operate buses, follow regulations, perform inspections, and maintain schedules with a focus on child safety.

The role requires at least 21 years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and legal authority to work in the United States. CDL endorsements or the willingness to obtain CDL training are supported by the company.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• For certified drivers: Valid CDL with P and S endorsements and 5+ years of driving in a passenger vehicle (WAC 392-144-101).
• For non-certified drivers: Valid driver’s license with 5+ years of driving in a passenger vehicle (WAC 392-144-101).
• Willing to obtain CDL and pass state/federal requirements; training provided.

• Safely operate assigned vehicles and follow company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues promptly.

• Willing to obtain a CDL and meet state and federal requirements, with training provided
• Clean driving record and ability to pass background checks and drug screenings
• Ability to work split shifts
• Strong communication skills and a passion for working with children
