Job summary

Zūm Services, Inc. is seeking a school bus driver to help students get to and from school safely using Zūm’s technology platform.

You will operate buses, perform safety inspections, and uphold schedules with a focus on passenger safety. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, legal work eligibility in the United States, and a valid CDL with endorsements for certified drivers or a valid driver’s license with 5+ years’ driving experience for non-certified drivers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• CDL with P and S endorsements for certified drivers, plus state certifications and 5+ years of passenger-vehicle driving experience.
• Non-certified drivers must have a valid driver’s license and 5+ years of passenger-vehicle driving experience.
• Willingness to obtain CDL with provided training.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate assigned vehicles and follow company policies and regulatory requirements
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues promptly
• Maintain routes and schedules with professionalism and punctuality
• Create a safe, positive environment for students and ensure passenger safety
• At least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• For certified drivers: Valid CDL with P and S endorsements and any state-required certifications and 5+ years of driving experience in a passenger vehicle required(WAC 392-144-101)
• For non-certified drivers: Valid driver’s license with 5+ years of driving experience in a passenger vehicle required (WAC 392-144-101)
• Willing to obtain a CDL and meet state and federal requirements, with training provided
• Clean driving record and ability to pass background checks and drug screenings
• Ability to work split shifts
• Strong communication skills and a passion for working with children
