Job summary

Concord Academy Boyne is seeking a part-time bus driver to transport students to and from school sites and events, ensuring safety at all times. The driver may operate wheelchair buses and must meet Michigan CDL and medical certification requirements.

Daily duties include loading/unloading, safety checks, and maintaining records. Responsibilities include reporting incidents, communicating delays, and supporting bus operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan CDL with P and S endorsements and a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• Ability to read and interpret a map and follow school routes safely.
• Ability to maintain discipline and safety of students during transport.

Responsibilities

• Drives a school bus safely on scheduled routes and field trips.
• Oversees loading/unloading and ensures seat belts are fastened.
• Maintains discipline and documents incidents as needed.
• Performs daily safety inspections and reports repairs.
• Transports medications, belongings, and messages when needed.
• Keeps records on mileage, routing, and time schedules.
• Attends meetings and maintains required licenses/certificates.
• Notifies delays to appropriate personnel and assists with other routes as needed.
