Job summary

Transportation Department in Moses Lake, WA is seeking a part-time Bus Driver to operate routes 15, 21, 50, 51 and 68 on a Monday–Friday schedule. Starting immediately with hours dependent on route and a 180-day term. Salary ranges from $27.42 to $30.70 per hour, based on the P.S.E.

contract schedule. Applicants must hold a high school diploma or GED, a valid WA driver’s license and a commercial CDL with passenger endorsement, plus WA Bus Driver’s Authorization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Washington state driver’s license required.
• Commercial driver’s license (Class A or B) with passenger endorsement.
• Must have Washington Bus Driver’s Authorization.
• Must meet physical and character standards per WAC 392-144-102.
• Must complete pre-employment physical.

Responsibilities

• Operate a school bus or other vehicle on fixed or changing routes.
• Maintain timeliness and safety on routes.
• Assist passengers, including evacuations in emergencies.
• Submit required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Utilize vehicle equipment safely (wheelchair lift, radios, emergency gear).
• Attend training and safety meetings as required.
