Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum age 21 years.
• Valid Colorado CDL with S endorsement is required.
• Pass the Colorado Department of Education School Bus Operator’s Test (written and skills).
• Meet District insurability requirements.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Preferred: Previous bus driving experience.

Responsabilités

• Safely operate district transportation vehicles for transporting students and authorized passengers.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT, CDE, and District requirements.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules or cover routes as directed.
• Maintain flexibility to adapt to route changes and operational needs.
• Maintain student safety and manage student behavior per District expectations.
• Provide clear instructions and guidance to students for a safe environment.
• Perform emergency procedures, including evacuations and medical responses.
• Assist students with boarding/exiting, including wheelchair lifts and securing equipment.
