Job summary

Casa Grande Elementary School District Transportation in Casa Grande, AZ is seeking a Bus Driver to transport students on scheduled routes and special trips. The position runs 10 months per year and pays $19.40 per hour, with a typical 25-40 hour workweek and benefits after eligibility.

Starting date is immediate. The role requires safe vehicle operation, adherence to district policies, and safe loading/unloading of students.

Qualifications

• Alcohol and Drug Test
• Pre-placement Physical Exam
• Criminal justice fingerprint/background clearance
• Random drug testing
• Ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English

Responsibilities

• Advises students and other passengers of appropriate behavior
• Assesses incidents, complaints, accidents and/or potential emergency situations
• Assists students and other passengers
• Attends meetings, trainings, etc.
• Cleans assigned vehicles, both interior and exterior; conducts emergency evacuation drills
• Drives school bus(es)
• Fuels assigned vehicle
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Prepares documents and reports (field trip reports, incident reports, inspection records, passenger misconduct, mileage logs, student counts)
• Reports observations and/or incidents (discipline, accidents, inappropriate social behavior)
• Responds to inquiries (students, parents, other school personnel)
• Supervises students during transit
• Assists other personnel as may be required
