Job summary

Rolling V Bus Corp in Sullivan County, NY is seeking a School Bus Driver to safely operate the daily schedule and ensure student safety and order on board.

The role requires a NYS CDL with P and S endorsements, completion of background checks, and the ability to communicate with students, parents, and school staff. Free CDL training is provided after permit is obtained; full-time and part-time positions are available.

Qualifications

• Hold NYS CDL with P and S endorsements and meet 19A NYS requirements.
• Complete NYS and Federal background checks for working with children.
• Provide valid forms of ID for employment.
• Provide three references.
• Provide history of residential addresses.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the school bus in compliance with laws and procedures.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Clean the bus as required.
• Report maintenance issues promptly.
• Pick up and drop off students according to schedule.
• Ensure students understand their responsibilities as passengers.
• Maintain order and discipline on the bus.
• Document and report any behavioral or disciplinary issues.
