Rolling V Bus Corp in Sullivan County, NY is hiring a School Bus Driver to safely operate the school bus on a set schedule, inspect the vehicle, and ensure student safety and orderly conduct during trips.

The role involves interacting with students, parents, and school officials, following procedures, and reporting issues promptly. CDL training is offered after permit acquisition, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Complete NYS and Federal documents, including background checks for working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Provide valid forms of ID for employment.
• Permit company to contact three references.
• Provide history of residential addresses.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the school bus in compliance with all relevant laws, policies, and procedures.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Clean the bus as required.
• Report maintenance issues promptly.
• Pick up and drop off students according to a set schedule.
• Ensure students understand their responsibilities as passengers.
• Maintain order and discipline on the bus.
• Document and report any behavioral or disciplinary issues.
