Job summary

WE Transport Inc. is actively hiring drivers for school bus and van routes in Nassau County, Long Island. The role offers a flexible shift structure, guaranteed hours, and paid CDL training to help you start quickly.

Starting pay for van drivers is $25.34 per hour with CDL endorsements. A $5000 sign-on bonus is available for fully licensed NY CDL drivers with A, B, or C licenses with P & S endorsements. We provide benefits including time off, 401(k) with match, life insurance, and optional

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with 1 year of driving experience.
• Valid NYS CDL Class A or B with P & S endorsements for buses, or Class C with P & S endorsements for vans (or willing to obtain through our free training).
• Ability to pass a drug test, physical exam, background check, and maintain compliance with state and federal CDL guidelines.
• Non-CDL drivers must hold a valid driver's license and complete CDL permit training.

Responsibilities

• Operate a school bus or van to transport students to and from school safely and on time.
• Monitor traffic, road conditions, and student behavior to ensure a safe ride.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local traffic laws, as well as district requirements and standards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues.
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle when necessary.
