Job summary

ROCKAWAY TOWNSHIP SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking qualified individuals to operate school buses on routes and ensure safe transportation for students. The position requires a CDL with appropriate endorsements or a willingness to obtain them, along with successful completion of medical, drug testing, and background checks.

Field trips and athletic events may provide extra work, with a starting rate of $30.00 per hour and a split schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age with a minimum of 3 years driving experience.
• Hold a valid CDL Class A or B with Air Brakes, Passenger and School Bus endorsements or be willing to obtain a valid commercial driver's license with proper endorsements. Training will be provided.
• Must comply with all state and federal requirements pertaining to medical examinations and drug and alcohol testing.
• Must be fingerprinted and have a clear background check.
• Must have a good driving record as determined by the district.
• Exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills with all stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Rockaway Township roads.
