Job summary

Yellow Brick Road is seeking a dedicated Bus Driver & Cook to transport school-age children safely and support in the classroom. The role includes driving to and from schools, performing post-trip checks, and performing kitchen duties as needed to prepare nutritious meals.

Responsibilities also cover helping with center cleaning, maintaining training hours, and providing warm, professional interactions with children and families. Must be 21+, with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Physically capable of safe evacuation of the vehicle in an emergency.
• Pass background checks including state child and adult abuse registry and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Bus Driver: Safely transport children to and from school and on field trips.
• Follow safety procedures; conduct head counts and post-trip checks.
• Provide high-quality, respectful care supporting emotional and cognitive needs of children.
• Perform weekly bus inspections and report findings.
• Light cleaning duties on bus and around the center.
• Maintain annual licensing training hours.
