Job summary

The YMCA of the Virginia Peninsulas is seeking a CDL Bus Driver to transport school-age and camp participants, ensuring safety and adherence to policy. A child care attendant accompanies each route, and drivers maintain vehicle cleanliness and logs.

Qualified candidates must hold a Virginia CDL Class C with Passenger endorsement (air brakes if applicable), have a clean driving record, and pass required background checks and health screenings. Join a values-based team serving youth and families.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years old.
• Virginia CDL Class C with Passenger endorsement (air brakes if applicable).
• DOT CDL physical/drug test completed.

Responsibilities

• Transport assigned group of children to and from schools or field trips.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and conduct pre-trip and weekly inspections.
• Complete logs and documentation for vehicles as required by policy and regulations.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
• Provide a safe, caring environment in accordance with YMCA policies.
