Base pay range

$22.00/hr - $22.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the school bus in compliance with all relevant laws, policies, and procedures.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain the bus and report any maintenance issues.
• Pick up and drop off students according to the schedule.
• Ensure students understand their responsibilities and maintain order on the bus.
• Handle behavioral and disciplinary issues appropriately.

Skills and Requirements

• Hold a valid NYS CDL License with P and S endorsements.
• Meet all 19A NYS School Bus Driver requirements.
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety practices.
• Ability to follow instructions and interact well with children.
• Ability to adapt to industry technology.

Additional Requirements

• Complete all necessary background checks and provide valid ID.
• Provide references and residential history.

Starting Rate: $22.00 per hour.

Work Hours

• Morning: 6:30 a.m. - 8:45 a.m.
• Afternoon: 1:45 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Hours may increase after placement on a permanent bus route.
