JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Operate school bus safely and professionally, following all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
2. Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely transportation.
3. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, checking fuel, oil, water levels, and vehicle condition.
4. Maintain cleanliness and fuel levels of the bus.
5. Park the bus safely at designated loading areas for passenger boarding.
6. Advise passengers to remain seated and behave in an orderly manner.
7. Handle passenger emergencies or disruptions calmly and appropriately.
8. Report any delays, accidents, or mechanical issues promptly.
9. Communicate respectfully with students, parents, and school officials.
10. Enforce bus rules consistently to ensure student safety.
11. Attend all required safety meetings and training sessions.

OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

1. This position requires a valid Commercial Driver's License with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements. Kobussen will provide paid training for those who do not hold a CDL license.
2. Must be 21+ years old.
3. Valid driver’s license for at least the last 3 years.
4. High school diploma or GED equivalent.
5. Strong communication/customer service skills.
6. Ability to sit for long periods and work in varying weather conditions.
7. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and meet physical demands of the role.
8. Pre-employment drug screening and background check.
