Tri County Transportation is seeking a part-time School Bus Driver to transport students on fixed routes in the Northern Cambria area. You will perform pre-trip inspections and ensure DOT compliance, while maintaining student safety and behavior on board.

The position offers weekday morning and afternoon routes, with potential for field trips on a rotational basis and CDL training provided by the company.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B with school bus passenger and air brake endorsements, or a willingness to complete CDL training.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Dependable with time and comfortable managing students.
• Ability to pass MVR, background checks, DOT physical, and drug screening.

We help you get licensed. CDL Class B with school bus passenger and air brake endorsements is required to drive.** $77.15 a day, approximately $17.14 an hour* Part-time. Typically about 22.5 hours a week, mornings and afternoons* Monday to Friday during the school day, home every night* Extra paid hours for field trips, sports and activity runs, offered on a rotational basis* Summer work is available but not mandatory* Supplemental Benefits available* Driving students in the Northern Cambria School District*What the job involves*You will drive a bus on a set route, morning and afternoon, carrying students to and from school. Alongside driving, you are responsible for pre-trip inspections, keeping the vehicle within DOT requirements, checking the vehicle after every route, and managing student behavior safely.*Your day*Morning route typically around 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Afternoon route typically around 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is a split shift with a break in between.Field trips, sports and activity runs are optional and assigned on a rotational basis. They are paid at a separate activity rate.*This may suit you if you are*Already holding a CDL and looking for regular hours. Coming off the road and want to stay in driving without the travel.
