NYCSBUS (NYC School Bus Umbrella Services Inc.) is a not-for-profit organization providing school bus transportation for NYC students, including those with Individualized Educational Programs. We operate approximately 800 routes with a staff of about 1,800 across six locations, with a budget of $190 million. Our goal is to improve student transportation through innovation and transparency.

What We Offer:

• $23.97/hour plus a $5,000 signing bonus paid within the first year

• New York State Commercial Driver's License (any class) with passenger and student endorsements required

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old

• Must possess or obtain a valid commercial driver's license with passenger and student endorsements

• Must pass criminal and driving history checks according to federal, state, and local guidelines

• Must pass a Department of Transportation physical exam upon hire and every two years

• Must be able to read and understand school transportation rules and regulations

• Must complete NYCSBUS training and driving test successfully

• Must score adequately on written exams related to school bus laws and regulations

• Must obtain and maintain a Red Cross first aid certificate

• Must pass drug, alcohol, and DMV screenings before employment with a valid ID or license
