Job summary

Harlow's School Bus Services is seeking a motivated Dispatcher / Driver / Charter Coordinator to join our transportation team. This is a full-time, in-person role at Elkhorn Public Schools and involves dispatching, driving as needed, and coordinating charter and activity trips.

You will coordinate routes, respond to driver and parent inquiries, and schedule charter trips while ensuring safety and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements preferred (or willingness to obtain with paid training).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily school bus routes and driver assignments.
• Respond to driver, school, and parent concerns professionally and timely.
• Communicate with drivers using radio and phone systems.
• Assist with emergency situations and transportation changes.
• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Follow all policies, regulations, and safety procedures.

Dispatcher

• Coordinate daily school bus routes and driver assignments.

School Bus Driver

• Safely transport students to and from school and school-related activities.
• Follow all company policies, state regulations, and safety procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service to students, parents, and school staff.
• Schedule charter and activity trips for schools and community groups.

Confirm transportation details with customers.

• Coordinate vehicle and driver availability for charter services.
• Ensure trip paperwork is completed accurately and on time.

Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and school personnel.
